Ambler Borough Committee Meeting Agenda for June 4

There will be an Ambler Borough Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 4th at Ambler Borough hall at 7pm. See some of the agenda items below, followed by the link to the full meeting agenda:

Public Safety Committee

ORDINANCE AMENDMENT – DISORDERLY CONDUCT- An ordinance amending Borough codified ordinances on Disorderly Conduct was advertised for adoption. see below:

Finance and Planning Committee

AMBLER BOROUGH HISTORICAL COMMISSION – Committee will consider creation of a Historical Architectural Review Board (HARB) or Historical Commission

CAVALIER LOT PAVING – Plans are being prepared by the engineer for advertisement for the resurfacing of the Cavalier Parking Lot.

2019 PAVING PROJECT – The 2019 street paving bid documents are being prepared and residents will be notified.

  • Poplar Street ( Ridge Ave. to Lindenwold Ave.)
  • Half of Spring Garden ( Race to Belmont)
  • North Spring Garden ( Race and Butler)
  • Race Street ( North Spring Garden and North Main Street)

Upon approval of the list, all property owners abutting the streets will receive notices to replace any damaged curbs and/or sidewalks.

TRAFFIC SIGNAL GRANT – The Borough Engineer is preparing a 2019 Automated Red Light Enforcement (ARLE) Grant Application. The detail on the application will not be available until the Council meeting on June 18.

Parks and Recreation Department

PLASTICS ORDINANCE – The committee would like to explore a possible Plastics Ordinance in the Borough. They will work with local businesses and discuss options.

EAC WORKSHOPS – The Ambler Environmental Council would like to give every homeowner a rain barrel and assess your property’s storm water needs to see if it qualifies for a reduced cost rain garden, downspout planter or permeable conversion.
