The Ambler Borough Police Department announced today the arrest of Anderson Danilo Luna-Mazate20, of the 2100 block of Lincoln Drive in Ambler, for committing a sexual assault in July 2025.

According to The Reporter, he forced a woman at gunpoint to perform a sex act on him during an encounter at Wissahickon Waterfowl Preserve. He was convicted of charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by force, indecent assault by force, simple assault by physical menace, and possession of a concealed weapon.

According to the police report, Luna-Mazate was apprehended by the US Marshals Service in Union County, New Jersey following a several months-long investigation. He was extradited to Montgomery County to stand trial on multiple charges and was found guilty of all charges in June.

Luna-Mazate faces a possible maximum sentence of 16 to 32 years in prison on the charges, The Reporter said.
