The Ambler Theater will be premiering “open caption” shows beginning Wednesday, August 16.

The shows are intended to expand the movie theater’s accessibility and experience for more members of the community.

The open caption shows will display on-screen text to represent the words and sounds of films and will be exclusively shown on Wednesdays in Auditorium 3.

Currently, the Ambler theater offers closed captioning devices, glasses or cup-holder displays for select films. Additionally, assistive listening and audio description devices are available which amplifies the movie audio and provides descriptive narration through headphones. These devices are available free of charge upon request at the concession stand.
