In spite of extreme temperatures, Ambler’s annual July 4th carnival and fireworks show will continue as planned, announced the Kiwanis Club of Ambler on Instagram Tuesday night. The carnival is located in the Wissahickon High School parking lot at 521 Houston Rd. The high school will be open as an air-conditioned cooling center, said the club.
The carnival opened Tuesday, June 30th, and will last until July 4th. Carnival gates open nightly at 6 p.m. and close at 10 p.m., according to Ambler’s Kiwanis Club.
The fireworks show is scheduled for June 2nd (rain date July 3rd). Visitors can reserve VIP parking passes for the fireworks if they make a donation of at least $30 on the organization’s website, said the Kiwanis Club of Ambler.
This year’s carnival features rides like swings and a Ferris wheel, games, and a variety of food and drink vendors. Ticket and wristband prices can be found on the Kiwanis Club of Ambler’s website and social media accounts. Food and games are sold separately.
