Ambler’s Long History with Asbestos Takes Step Towards Conclusion

It looks like Ambler’s long history with asbestos is taking a step towards conclusion. On June 28th the EPA decided that capping the 38-acre site that encompasses the border area of Ambler Borough, Upper Dublin Township and Whitpain Township would be the final clean-up plan. If you are wondering where this is, it is the site behind where the McDonald’s use to stand on Butler Avenue.

You can view the EPA plan here. It contains a history of the site and issue. NewsWorks.com also has an article on the clean-up plan.
