Ambler-native and Wissahickon High School alumnus Tanoh Kpassagnon returned to the New Orleans Saints for the season’s final three games after suffering an off-season torn Achilles tendon and was placed on the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list before the start of the regular season. He returned to the active roster on December 14th.
“Since Tanoh got injured, I haven’t seen someone in this building more than him, and that’s a credit to him,” interim head coach Darren Rizzi shared with Saints Wire. “Sometimes it’s really easy to get frustrated, especially with the rehab process. So kudos to him. He’s just been grinding through the rehab and to see him out there today in the pads with the helmet on, it’s been a big buildup for him.”
Kpassagnon shared on social media, “7 months of rehab and a couple thousand calf raises later I’m grateful to have been able to suite[sic] up and play. It’s year 8 and still have so much left in the tank.”
He signed a two-year contract extension with the Saints in 2023.
