Area Trash Collection Changes

Due to the impending storm, the area trash and yard waste pick-up changes are as follows:

Ambler Borough:

Trash & Recyclables Pickup Thursday Due to Storm
With the impending storm prediction, residential trash & recyclables will not be picked up Wednesday. Our trash hauler will pick up residential trash & recyclables on Thursday.

Lower Gwynedd:

Waste Management will be rescheduling trash pick-up in Lower Gwynedd this week due to the pending storm. Trash collection and recycling will be conducted on Friday, March 9th, instead of Thursday this week. In addition, in light of the recent storm, Waste Management will be providing an extra collection day for yard waste and debris. Yard waste will be collected on Saturday, March 17th and again on Saturday, March 31st, 2018.

Upper Dublin:

Due to the recent severe weather, extra yard waste in green carts, paper bags or bundled sticks will be collected this week (week of March 5, 2018) and next week (week of March 12, 2018). Drop-offs to the Township compost site on Camp Hill Road will be accepted by residents only; no contractors are allowed to dump at the compost site. All other conditions remain the same:

  • 2018 Yard waste collection will begin March 5, 2018 and end November 30, 2018. Yard waste, brush and tree branches will be collected curbside once a week throughout the yard waste program.
  • Grass clippings and leaves must be placed in containers or biodegradable paper bags. Please DO NOT use your trash or recycling carts for yard waste.
  • Do not use plastic bags.
  • All yard waste is composted into a high grade mulch product.
  • Yard waste must be placed at curbside the night before your scheduled collection day.
  • Brush and tree limbs must be tied with twine into bundles not to exceed five feet (5’) in length and weigh no more than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Branches with a diameter greater than five inches (5”) will not be taken.
  • Please limit yard waste to a maximum of nine (9) containers, paper bags, and/or bundles.
  • We do not accept dirt, stone or wood chips.
