Banh Street featuring smoked chicken arepas for Taco Tuesday

It’s Taco Tuesday at Banh Street and it is featuring a new dish. Banh Street’s Chef Dan Rivera mashed up the flavors and textures of Venezuela with Vietnam for smoked chicken arepas.

If you are not familiar, arepas are cornmeal cakes that originated centuries ago in the area that is now home to Colombia and Venezuela. Banh Street is stuffing these gluten-free corn pockets with lemongrass mesquite smoked chicken, lime chili aioli, and a blood orange sesame sprout slaw.

The arepas are 2.50 and can be ordered online for takeout and delivery.
