The Sunoco at 646 Skippack Pike in Blue Bell (Whitpain Township) is seeking to transfer a liquor license to its location. Since the license involved is from outside the township, the Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors has to approve the transfer.

A hearing on the matter is on the agenda for the February 20th meeting of the supervisors. If and when the supervisors grant the transfer, the license transfer will go through an approval process with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, which makes the final decision.

In 2022, the owner of the property, Simran Properties LLC, sought and was granted zoning relief to extend the convenience store into the area that was previously used for auto repair. A liquor license will allow it to sell beer to go and wine if they obtain an additional permit.
