You Can Fish For Free in Pennsylvania on July 4th

While our poor neighbors to the west have to watch Chris Christie on the beach, Pennsylvanians and people from any state can fish for free in the Keystone State on July 4th.

From the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission:

Families and friends visiting Pennsylvania’s state parks, lakes and other popular outdoor spots over the Independence Day holiday can enjoy a day of free fishing, thanks to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC).

Residents and non-residents can legally fish in Pennsylvania without a fishing license from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on July 4th. No fishing license is needed to fish in Pennsylvania’s waterways. All other fishing regulations apply. Click here for more information.
