What better way to commemorate the 41st anniversary of Elvis’ death than by viewing one of his most iconic and popular performances in Jailhouse Rock?  Jailhouse Rock is playing tonight at the Ambler Theater as part of their Hollywood Summer Nights Classic Film Series.

Presley plays Vince Everett, a young man who is locked up for manslaughter after a barroom brawl. His cellmate is a washed up country singer-turned-bank robber who teaches him how to play the guitar. Filled with classic tunes including “Jailhouse Rock” which was a number one hit in 1957.
