Concern over future of baseball fields in Ambler

Some residents in Ambler Borough are concerned about the future of Pickering Fields, and specifically, the Ambler Junior Baseball and Softball program which uses Pickering Field as their home base.

According to a Facebook post made by the Ambler Junior Baseball and Softball, some of the surrounding neighbors to Pickering Field have complaints about the activity and the noise. The organization is asking those in support of the organization to voice their support at the Tuesday, December 17th meeting of Ambler’s Borough Council. Ambler Borough Council President Frank DeRousi responded to the controversy via a Facebook post. He stated that some residents did attend a November 19th council meeting and expressed some concerns. He offered that there will be no immediate action taken and that the Borough of Ambler has decided to undertake an examination of all of its parks. Below is DeRousi’s post:
