Upper Dublin Township’s Parks & Recreation department announced that construction of the bike playground at Twining Valley Park in Dresher has begun.
According to their announcement, staff will be on-site for the next four to six weeks to complete the project, which includes a paved trail and a crushed stone trail.
“This unique amenity is geared towards children 5th grade and younger and it will be able to accommodate bikes, scooters, big wheels, wheelchairs and skateboards,” the department said. “Exploration on foot will also be encouraged. Post-construction, the Natural Resource team and volunteers will begin installation of native plants that will highlight each of the themed ecosystems.”

The bike playground has been made possible and is fully funded by grants provided by Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Montgomery County Planning Commission, and Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the announcement said.
