Paul R. Williams, 61, of Dresher (Upper Dublin Township), has been charged with attempted homicide following a shooting on Friday, August 28 at a business in Freemansburg (Northampton County), The Times Herald reported.

Williams reportedly fired as many as nine shots, one of which struck a male victim in the wrist. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A warrant was issued for Williams’ arrest and he was taken into custody by the Montgomery County Emergency Response Team early Monday at his home. According to Lehigh Valley Live, Upper Dublin police assisted in a raid of Williams’ home and vehicle.

Williams has also been charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and one count misdemeanor reckless endangerment, The Herald said. Bail was set at $1 million.

Officials have not disclosed the relationship between the pair or what led up to the shooting.

A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for noon on September 11.
