Mohammed “Mido” Osman Ahmed, 34, formerly of the 3800 block of Blair Mill Road, Horsham, pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful contact or communication with a minor and indecent assault in connection with his interactions with three underage girls between September and November 2018, The Reporter said.
Ahmed was a tennis instructor at the Upper Dublin Sports Center in Ambler and was apprehended in Iraq pursuant to an Interpol Red Notice.
He has been sentenced to five months already served to 23 months in the county jail after. Ahmed also faces a 25-year requirement to report his address to state police in order to comply with Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, previously known as Megan’s Law.
The Egypt native also faces deportation proceedings and could be deported while serving the sentence, The Reporter said.
“He admitted that he did touch three different juvenile victims, all of whom played tennis at the Upper Dublin tennis center or worked there as well. He touched all of them in private places and did so for his own sexual gratification and he communicated with them in order to facilitate that,” said Assistant District Attorney Caroline Goldstein.
“All three of these girls were teenagers who were going to a tennis center to improve at a sport that meant a lot to them. They were kids who trusted their coach and the coach took advantage of that. He was in a position of power where he had the opportunity to get these girls alone,” Goldstein added.
