Gwynedd Mercy University will host a Christmas tree lighting accompanied by a holiday shopping bazaar on Tuesday, December 2, at 4:00pm.
This GMercyU tradition features a variety of activities, including live performances, seasonal crafts, food and beverages, gift wrapping, an ugly sweater contest, and more. Guests can also enjoy shopping from 18 local vendors offering handcrafted items, books, and gifts.
In related news, Richard Target, a longtime friend and benefactor of Gwynedd Mercy University, was recently named the Individual Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Target, a former U.S. Marine Corps Captain and Lower Gwynedd resident for the past four decades, has supported the university through scholarships, faculty innovation, and hands-on research opportunities. He is also a member of the university’s President’s Council and a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International.
Target also previously served as Lower Gwynedd Township’s Parks & Recreation Chair, mapping 25-plus miles of local trails.
