Latest update on Tuesday’s barricade situation in Ambler

Ambler’s Chief of Police Jeff Borkowski released a statement on March 20th at 12:23 p.m. regarding the conclusion of the police activity following what was reported to be a barricade situation on North Street in Ambler during the evening on March 19th. During the police activity a shelter in place notice was issued.

All officer activity in this area has concluded. If anyone has any information that is pertinent to this investigation, please call the Ambler Borough Police Department at 215-643-6444. This incident is currently being investigated by multiple jurisdictions.

The police action did not lead to an arrest according to 6ABC Action News. FOX29’s Steve Keeley reported late in the evening on March 19th that he had been told the incident was tied to an armored car robbery that had occurred earlier in the day.
