The Wissahickon Valley Public Library was recently granted zoning relief by the Whitpain Township Zoning Hearing Board to temporarily operate out of an office building at 960 Harvest Drive in Blue Bell (Whitpain Township). The library is preparing to undergo a renovation, which will require the library’s building to close for six to nine months.
Work will include replacing the roof, repaving the parking lot, upgrading the outdoor lighting, and repairing the sewer system, as well as interior work such as creating spaces for tutoring, studying, and community gatherings. The work is expected to commence in August.
