Local Memorial Day services and events in the Ambler area

American Legion Post 769

American Legion Post 769 is holding a Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 26th from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Rose Valley Cemetery at 411 Susquehanna Road in Ambler.

After the ceremony, all attendees are invited to Post 769, 351 Maple Street in Ambler, for grilled refreshments prepared by the Legionaires and Sons of the American Legion.

Whitemarsh Memorial Park

On Monday, May 26th, the schedule of events is as follows:

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Thom Moore, the Happy Bagpiper, will be playing the Veterans Memorial Gardens section

11:00 a.m. to Noon – The Hickory Brass Band under the direction of Bog Wagner will be performing at the Tower Mausoleum

11:30 a.m. – The Indian Valley HOG Annual Memorial Day Ride starting at the Limikiln Pike entrance

12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Event at the Tower of Chimes with guest speaker Thomas Murt, a former member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and veteran, along with essay contest winner Brenna Burnett of Worcester Elementary

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Rita’s Water Ice of Limekiln Pike at the Main Office

1:30 p.m. – Veteran flyover and parachute landing
