The Lower Gwynedd Police Department issued a Neighborhood Advisory after finding a “sick raccoon” in the 1700 block of Township Line Road.

According to their advisory, the raccoon was later tested and found to be positive for rabies.

Officials encourage exercising caution around wild animals in the area.
