Dr. Alexandra Doroshow, DO, a 2005 graduate of Upper Dublin High School, is launching Maple Concierge Medicine at 124 South Maple Street (Suite 112) on Monday, August 17.

After practicing medicine for nearly a decade, Dr. Doroshow was ready for a new approach to primary care. 

“In a traditional insurance-based model, I found that the most difficult aspect of providing exceptional care was the lack of time.  Direct primary care is a different kind of model that focuses on the importance of time, connection between doctor and patient, and personalized care. Having the time to really get to know my patients intimately, and learn about their health goals, passions, family life, and have the space to address all of their concerns will elevate the primary care experience,” she told Around Ambler. “I decided to take a leap and open my own practice a bit closer to home.  Rather than taking care of over 1,000 patients, I’ll have a smaller panel of patients for whom I’ll provide high-touch and individualized care”. 

Dr. Doroshow attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After her residency, she worked at a Jefferson Health Urgent Care center and then a private practice near the Lehigh Valley area. 

“I chose family medicine because I enjoy developing a long term relationship with my patients. I love the variety every day, and it challenges me to stay up to date and current with evidence-based medical literature” she said. “I’m looking forward to advocating for my patients so they feel like they aren’t navigating their health alone. I believe in compassionate and connected care that feels like a true partnership and collaboration with my patients.”

A Lower Gwynedd resident since 2019, Dr. Doroshow said the surrounding community has welcomed her with open arms. 

“I’m excited to be part of the Ambler community. I’ve been fortunate to connect with other business owners in the Borough. Everyone’s been so welcoming. The sense of community is something I’ve never experienced before. It’s been pretty incredible the way everyone lifts each other up.”

Maple Concierge Medicine is a membership-based primary care practice for ages 18+ focused on providing highly personalized medical care, including longer appointments, same or next-business day availability, and direct physician access.
