On October 14th, Whitpain Township opened the former Mermaid Swim Club property to the public. The park is now open seven days a week from dawn to dusk and currently offers a two-mile mown trail that traverses the 63-acre property.

“We are pleased to open the park to the public after it was permanently preserved earlier this year,” said Supervisor Chair Michele Minnick. “Without the acquisition, this beautiful property would have been developed with 53 single-family homes and a large billboard. Instead, the community gets to enjoy its beauty.”
