Montgomery County Commissioner Ken Lawrence has tested positive for COVID-19. He made the announcement on his personal Facebook page.
In the post on Facebook, he stated that he and his family are not showing symptoms and that he is self-isolating and quarantined at home for the next 14 days. He was tested at the Pottstown testing facility.
Lawrence also shared in the Facebook post the steps he took to prevent infection such as wearing masks, changing clothes, washing hands, etc. However, if you watch the weekday county press conferences he speaks from the same podium as other county officials, and not one elected official appears to wear a mask anytime during the press events (on or off-camera).
We asked the county about others in the county quarantining. The response was, “Yes. All individuals in direct contact with Commissioner Lawrence will be quarantined per the CDC guidelines.”
