The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Offices of Drug & Alcohol and Managed Care Solutions has announced that the Montgomery County Recovery Community Center (MCRCC) will open on January 16th in Norristown.

Offices of Drug & Alcohol and Managed Care Solutions are pleased to announce the official opening of the Montgomery County Recovery Community Center (MCRCC) on January 16, 2020, in Norristown.
Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services recognizes that recovery supports are an essential component of the recovery process. By utilizing lived experience to promote hope and encouragement, the objective of recovery supports is to connect individuals with substance use disorders to support groups and sober activities and remove barriers preventing individuals from engaging in and maintaining long-term recovery.
This drop-in recovery center is the first of its kind here in Montgomery County and will offer a variety of recovery support services for individuals and their families who have been affected by substance use disorders.
Programs that will be offered include, but are not limited to Gateway to Work, SMART Recovery, Mindful Meditation, Women’s Trauma Group, and Family Education Programs, with more to be announced! These workshops are FREE to individuals and family members!
In addition to workshops and support groups, the Montgomery County Recovery Community Center will also offer opportunities to register for recreational activities and additional educational opportunities.
The open house will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 601 DeKalb St., Suite 1, Norristown, PA 19401, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at 1:30 p.m. Please come check out all MCRCC has to offer!
