The Montgomery Township Police Department announced that the warning period for an automated red light enforcement program is now half over.
The system launched on March 14. When the grace period for the township’s red light camera program ends in 28 days, drivers who run red lights will be ticketed.
From their post:
We are halfway through the warning period for our Automated Red Light Enforcement system. Since the ARLE system went live on March 14, 2025, officers have approved 1,043 red light violations. Please remember that yellow means to slow down, and red means to stop.
Where a right turn on red is permitted, the driver is required to come to a complete stop behind the stop bar prior to safely turning when clear to do so.
Safe and responsible driving saves lives.
