Morris Road Traffic Signal at Entrance to Montgomery County Community College Now Active

Whitpain Township announced that earlier today, a new traffic signal at the Morris Road entrance to Montgomery County Community College was activated and placed on flash mode.

PennDOT’s guidelines dictate that a signal must be in flash mode for 7 days before becoming fully operational.

The new signal operates in coordination with the traffic signals at Route 202 and Morris Road and at Cathcart Road and Morris Road. The traffic signal is equipped with video detection so, when cars are not exiting the college, motorists on Morris Road will have a green light.

The signal was paid for by the Community College and no Township funds were expended as part of this signalization.
