NBA legend Charles Barkley paid a visit to the Blue Bell Inn on the evening of Monday, June 2.
According to marketing director Jake Minkoff, this wasn’t Sir Charles’ first appearance at 601 Skippack Pike.
“He’s dropped in about four or five times over the last few years. We appreciate his support,” Minkoff said. “We’re always glad to get local legends. We’ve had Freddie Mitchell, former Philadelphia Eagle, and Cavin Sullivan, the teenage star of the Philadelphia Union. We had Roger Daltrey of The Who about a year ago. We’re very appreciative of the support.”

The owner’s son, a recent graduate of La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, is pictured with Barkley.
Minkoff also noted that a new location at the former Tap House 23 in Bridgeport is currently in the works.
“Ownership doesn’t know exactly what it’s going to be yet, but they’re considering a new concept. More specifics will come out this summer,” he said.
More details about the arrangement can be found here.
