Niche ranks Wissahickon and Upper Dublin among Top 15 districts in the region and Top 5 in Montgomery County

Niche has released its rankings of the school districts in the Philadelphia area. In the Philadelphia area, Wissahickon ranks 12th and comes in fourth within Montgomery County. Upper Dublin ranked 15th in the region and fifth in the county.

Niche explained its criteria for establishing the rankings as follows:

The 2027 Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more. SAT/ACT scores have been removed from this year’s rankings to reflect a general de-emphasis on test scores in the college admissions process.

Among the neighboring districts in the region, Abington ranked 29th, Hatboro-Horsham 43rd, Springfield (Montco) 25th, Methacton 31st, Upper Merion 32nd, Jenkintown 33rd, and Cheltenham 36th. Rankings were only made up to No. 66th. The Norristown Area School District and North Penn were not given a ranking.
