No more moralizing from the Wissahickon School Board

It is a new day for the Wissahickon School Board. They have no moral authority. It must be nice to be able to stretch their legs and show the public who they really are.

Let’s take School Board Director Deanne Morris. Back in 2024, she was so upset about a crude remark made by a member of the Souderton Area School Board that she wrote a very sternly worded letter. She demanded that board member Bill Formica resign.

She even posted about it on Facebook (just so everyone would know that she didn’t find the language acceptable and that character counts).

Morris wasn’t so vocal, though, when Dan Strauss, a fellow member of the Unity for Wiss slate of candidates running for the Wissahickon School Board, called your humble narrator “fat,” another male’s boyfriend, and expressed the desire for me to suck a juicy fart right out of his ass. FYI, we declined.

What was our crime? We had asked whether Strauss was trying to out someone!

That, Morris chose not to address. She even became downright tolerant.

Then there is Wissahickon School Board President Amy Ginsburg, who was also on the slate of candidates with Strauss and Morris.

She dared to make a post about “belonging” after she stayed silent about Strauss’ foul language and an attempt to out someone (which was never denied). You know who doesn’t belong on a school board? Ginsburg, Strauss, Morris, Ginsburg, Eugene Golson, and Noel Kelly.

And let’s not forget about Noel Kelly. Back in May, he posted on Facebook, calling for “accountability and respectful leadership.” He wanted the Republican candidates to address something a parent had done. Did Kelly address his fellow candidate’s behavior? He did not. He sat silent, but found time to like a bunch of Facebook comments that called us the problem.

Strauss would have been held accountable if he had been a student.

Apparently, there is no such standard for candidates for the school board.

FYI, they all won. Good luck.
