On the agenda for Ambler’s Borough Council

A few items of note from the agenda are:

Noah Marlier and Ann Cornell from the Montgomery County Prothonotary Office will share information on the Hope Card Program for Domestic Violence Survivors. You can find the presentation starting on page 3.

Joe Duda of Duda Actuarial Consultants and Scott Repke of Alliance Bernstein will present a December 31, 2025 GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board) 75 Actuarial Disclosure Valuation for the Ambler Borough Police Postretirement Benefits Plan. The purpose of the valuation was to measure the net OPEB (Other Postemployment Benefits) Liability, the OPEB Expense under the GASB 75, and prepare the necessary exhibits for the borough’s auditor to ensure compliance with the standard. In addition to reports from the borough’s various departments and committees, there are four notable votes that are scheduled to take place if there are motions.

Resolution 2026-08 – Ordinance No. 1148 – Sewer Tapping Fees (find text of proposed ordinance on page 84).

Resolution 2026-09 – Ordinance No. 1149 – Water Tapping Fees (find text of proposed ordinance on page 86).

Open Container Ordinance/Borough Events – This suspends enforcement of open alcohol containers during major events in the borough (find the text of the proposed resolution on page 94).

Appointment of Contracted Arborist – Morris Arboretum (details on this start on page 88).
