PennDOT has closed portion of Plymouth Road in Plymouth Meeting due to sinkhole

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced that Plymouth Road is closed and detoured between Butler Pike and Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) due to a sinkhole. MoreThanTheCurve.com first reported on the sinkhole on February 1st.

During the closure, travelers will be redirected to use Butler Pike and Germantown Pike. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

Plymouth Road will remain closed until PennDOT engineers can further assess the extent of the damage and develop a plan to fully repair and safely reopen the highway.
