The Pet of the week is a Corgi puppy named Tater, like tater tot, his owner Carly writes…
I’d like to submit my adorable puppy, Tater, for Ambler’s pet of the week! That’s right, Tater as in potato, because she looks like a little potato or tater tot. She is a 15 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who we brought home last weekend from Allenwood, PA. Tater is my husband and I’s first dog, and has been a long-awaited addition to the family, as I have wanted a corgi for the last 8-10 years. She even made it into our wedding vows, so that promise has now been fulfilled!
So far, Tater enjoys learning new tricks and commands, belly rubs, splooting, walking around town, and rooting for Penn State. She still has work to do on learning her place in the pack, but she is very intelligent and is averaging 1 new trick/command learned per day. She is doing especially well with potty and crate training, however gets very distracted when outside and tries to eat everything in sight. We are also working on socializing her with other people and dogs, so if you see her walking down the street, feel free to say hello to Tater the corgi!
