Planned restaurant openings for 2022 in the Ambler area

2022 will be a busy year for restaurant openings in the Ambler area. Here is everything we know.

Treseni | 504 North Bethlehem Pike, Ambler (Lower Gwynedd)

The Philadelphia Inquirer published on August 11th an extensive list of new restaurants coming to the region. This list included Treseni, which is taking over the space that has long been San Marco.

On December 9th, the Instagram page for the yet-to-open restaurant shared the following about what it will offer.

TRESINI offers Italian influenced cuisine from regionally sourced ingredients. More “rustically refined” than fine dining, we create imaginative exclusive dishes alongside modernized interpretations of classic recipes. The result balances familiar comfort food and completely new tasting experiences. Our convivial dining atmosphere encourages guests to appreciate the moment with family and friends. Coming soon in 2022!

An exact opening date has not yet been provided.

Well Crafted Beer Co. | 300 Brookside Avenue, Building 19, Suite E, Ambler (Lower Gwynedd)

On December 21st, the Ambler Beer Co. announced that it had sold its assets to Well Crafted Beer Co. Well Crafted will open its second location at the spot. Its original location is in Lansdale.

An exact opening date for Well Crafted is not yet known. FYI, Ambler Beer Co. is still going to be open to approximately the end of January.

The Pizza Box | 300 Brookside Avenue, Ambler

The Pizza Box, which has a location in downtown Ambler, is opening a second location within Ambler Yards. We are told it will likely be open within the next few weeks.

Harry’s Taproom | 1 West Butler Avenue, Ambler

Harry’s Taproom, which is currently located along DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell, announced in October it was moving to 1 West Butler Avenue in Ambler. The restaurant is targeting a spring 2022 opening.

Widow’s Peak Distilling | 10 East Butler Avenue, Ambler

Widow’s Peak Distilling is coming to 10 East Butler Avenue in Ambler in 2022. An opening date has not yet been announced.

S & K Cafe | 241-65 North Main Street, Ambler

S & K Cafe will be more of a beer bottle shop with some quick/pre-prepared food. While it will have 30 seats inside, it will be more of a to-go place. It is expected to open in early 2022.

Forest & Main Brewing | 241-65 North Main Street, Ambler

We may have the address wrong for this, but it is in the same former industrial building that will also be home to S & K Cafe. In November, Forest & Main moved its taproom from 61 North Main Street to 33 East Butler Avenue. The operation in the former industrial building is mainly for brewing, but eventually they do plan to have a small tasting room there.

Various Restaurants at The Promenade at Upper Dublin

According to an updated map of The Promenade in Upper Dublin, Iron Hill Restaurant & Brewery and Redstone are slated to open at the new mixed-use development in Dresher in 2022. Iron Hill is expected to open in the second quarter and Redstone in the third quarter.

A bubble tea restaurant Gong Cha is slated to open in the second quarter.

The map shows several restaurants that were to open by the end of 2021, that have not yet opened. This includes Cousins Maine LobsterLaScala’s Fire, and Turning Point.
