“Play ball” will be heard in Whitpain on Saturday when the Whitpain Recreation Association (WRA) holds opening day festivities. 

Teams will join in a parade from Centre Square Fire Company to Wentz Run Park to begin the festivities. The parade will require a brief closure of Skippack Pike, between Route 202 and Cathcart Road, from approximately 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Residents living in the neighborhood bounded by Parkwood Road and Crestline Drive will be able to to access their homes during the closure.
