The Whitpain Township Police Department announced Friday that beginning Monday, June 13, School Road will be closed at the intersection of Skippack Pike. The closure is expected to last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for four weeks, said the department.
The closure is part of a project to upgrade the intersection, said Whitpain Township. Underground utility relocation will be done to signalize it. Detour signs will be installed to guide drivers. The Whitpain Township Police Department recommends that commuters take Skippack Pike, Dekalb Pike and Morris Road to navigate around construction.
The department noted that residents on School Road will still have access to their driveways unless work is directly in front of them, in which case shutdowns would be temporary. Whitpain Township will update residents on further developments.
