Salvatore Pasceri, lifelong Ambler resident and former Borough Council president, has passed away

Salvatore Pasceri, a lifelong resident of Ambler and active community member, passed away on October 8 at the age of 83.

The Ambler Borough Police Department has expressed its sympathy to Pasceri family, noting that he was a councilman in Ambler Borough for many years, including terms as Council President.

“He was a tremendous friend to the Ambler Borough Police Department not only as a councilman but also as a resident who cared so much for this town. He will be missed,” the Department said.

Salvatore G. Pasceri, 83, a lifelong resident of Ambler, passed away on October 8, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Marin) Pasceri. Sal was born in Ambler, PA on March 18, 1940 to the late Bruno and Maria (Dattilo) Pasceri. He was a graduate of Ambler High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. Sal worked for Honeywell for many years prior to his retirement. He was a councilman for Ambler Borough for many years, including Council President. He was also President of the Sons of Italy, Ruggero Bonghi Lodge 543 for over 40 years. Sal enjoyed traveling, especially to Lake Tahoe and Aruba and enjoyed trips to the casino. Along with his wife, he is survived by his 3 children: Salvatore Pasceri, Mark Pasceri, Michael Marin; 3 grandchildren: Angelina, Vincent, Paige; a sister Catherine Smith; 2 brothers: Bruno and Peter Pasceri. He was predeceased by a brother George J. Pasceri. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11 AM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. A viewing will be from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sal to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, PO Box 222 Conshohocken, PA 19428-0222.
