New Bike Lane Celebrated

The Whitpain Board of Supervisors and GVF last Thursday celebrated the installation of a new permanent bike lane on Anvil Lane.

As part of the festivities, a group of cyclists rode from Montgomery County Community College to Wentz Run Park, using the new bike lane for the final segment of the trip.

The event marked the culmination of the Bike More, Drive Less project in Whitpain. The Township and GVF were joined by Rep. Joe Webster, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Montgomery County Planning Commission, staff members from state representative’s and senator’s offices, and a group of dedicated local cyclists.
