Sidewalks and school bus safety on the May 14th agenda for Lower Gwynedd Township’s Board of Supervisors

On the May 14th agenda for the Lower Gwynedd Township Board of Supervisors is the consideration of an ordinance that amends the township’s zoning code involving regulations involving driveways, sidewalks, curb construction and repair, and road opening permits and restoration. You can read the text of the ordinance here.

Another item of note is the approval of intergovernmental agreement with the Wissahickon School District to have the township’s police department participate in the enforcement of the Bus Patrol System. The Bus Patrol System is an automated enforcement technology that is installed on school buses that detects the license plates of vehicles that fail to stop for school buses. The images are then shared with local law enforcement.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the township building.
