The Ambler Senior Adult Activity Center is hosting a special farm stand for seniors on Wednesday, June 15th from 11 am to 1 pm. Every year, eligible seniors receive $20 dollar vouchers from the USDA’s Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) for use at farmers’ markets for fruits and vegetables. Because sometimes it’s difficult for seniors to make it out to local farmers’ markets on the weekends, the Ambler S.A.A.C is bringing a farm stand right to the seniors. Claybrick Farms of the Ambler Farmers’ Market will be on campus at the Ambler SAAC accepting SFMNP vouchers and all other methods of payment for healthy. local produce.
