We really hoped not to have to do an article on the Stomsky saga today, but here we are.
On the September 15th agenda for Whitpain Township’s board of supervisors is the appointment of a new deputy tax collector for the township. According to Resolution 1610, Whitpain Township Tax Collector Melissa Wanczyk has removed Jennifer Stomsky from the office and appointed Natalie Cormier to the position.
Stomsky has been the focus of several articles published by AroundAmbler.com in recent days over the comments she made, calling for political violence and more martyrs following the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Stomsky is the elected tax collector of the Borough of Ambler and is currently running for re-election as the endorsed candidate by the Wissahickon Democratic Committee. Stomsky has since apologized for the statement and resigned as vice chair of the political committee. She has chosen thus far not to resign as Ambler’s tax collector.
AroundAmbler.com only learned of Stomsky’s role as deputy tax collector for Whitpain Township this morning (September 16). We could not find a single online mention of it. It is not clear how long she has held the position.
