The Montgomery Township Police Department announced today that a suspect involved in a December 5 robbery was identified after being apprehended in Bensalem Township for a similar robbery.
According to their announcement, Montgomery Township police are working with the Bensalem Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and other local law enforcement for follow-up investigations and prosecution.
An investigation began after police were dispatched to the Santander Bank on Welsh Road for the report of a robbery. According to police, the suspect entered the bank at approximately 4:54pm and provided the bank teller with a note requesting money. The suspect then fled the scene on foot to his vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.
There were no injuries to any bank employees or bystanders, police said.
