Temple Ambler is working with Temple University’s Main Campus to hold a school supply drive for local students, the school shared on Wednesday. Volunteers will pack one of its shuttle busses, “The Flight” with around 100 backpacks filled with school supplies.

The drive will kick off with a celebration on Tuesday, July 21 at Temple’s Main Campus in Philadelphia. The celebration will feature free water ice and pretzels while supplies last. Temple University asks that attendees bring at least one item to donate during the kickoff.

Requested items include backpacks, writing utensils, tissue boxes, hand sanitizer and headphones. A full list of supplies can be found through a wish list Temple University published here: Amazon.com.

In addition to the kickoff, Temple Ambler is accepting donations through August 3. Donations can be dropped off at the Ambler Learning Center Lobby on 580 Meetinghouse Road. For more information on the “Fill the Flight” drive, visit the university’s Facebook page here: Facebook.
