Temple University is exploring partnerships for—or the sale of—its 187-acre Ambler campus at 580 Meetinghouse Road in Upper Dublin Township, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
The university has received roughly six responses to a request for proposals and hopes to select one of them in the coming weeks.
Its student population has dwindled over the last two decades after reaching an all-time high of 6,500 students in the 1980s. East Hall, the last remaining residence hall, closed in 2010 due to declining residential enrollment.
The Journal wrote that the campus was founded in 1911 as the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women before it became part of Temple University in 1958.
