The cafe ‘feine announced today that it has closed its location at Ambler Yards in Ambler (Lower Gwynedd Township). The two other locations, Conshohocken and Skippack, are still open.

Dear ‘feine fam –

Today, we take a different path then (we set out to take a few years ago. After celebrating our first anniversary in March of 2020 shortly after COVID struck, we temporarily closed our Ambler Yards location. We reopened a few months later and we were ready to regain our connections and the community we were once a part of and happily supported. Sadly, like so many other workplaces, the Ambler Yards campus became virtually empty overnight due to COVID. Although we’ve tried to remain open, we couldn’t sustain the lack of traffic in the absence of a main-street storefront. We’ve made the heartbreaking decision to permanently close our Ambler Yards location.

Our Ambler location provided us with tremendous opportunity to explore the various paths along which we could grow as a brand. There was a lot of transformation that took place in this location. Once a cold and empty warehouse, we remodeled it into a beautiful space that served for many as a break from the daily grind. Here, we spread our wings and grew to 2 locations. Here, we learned how to become coffee roasters. Here, we became bakers overnight. And here, we say goodbye to a huge step in the creation of who we are.

But don’t worry. Thanks to your continued support, there will be plenty of ‘feine in your life in both our Conshohocken and Skippack locations! We are deeply grateful to you, our extended family, for your patronage over the course of our 8½ years in business. We’ve filled your cups with caffeine and you’ve filled our hearts with love and support on this journey of ours. We will build on what we’ve learned in Ambler and continue to bake and roast for our 2 locations and wholesale accounts.
