Throwback Thursday | Ambler Photographs

This week’s Throwback Thursday is a photograph of the Ambler Theater and the Ambler Drug Company, (which is now From The Boot)  taken from the opposite side of Butler Ave.  We were told that this was not a cemetery, but rather a headstone company that existed across the street from the theater.

Builder, Phillip Harrison, built The Ambler Theater in a Spanish Colonial style, and it opened under the ownership of Warner Bros. in December of 1928.  Even with the renovations and changes to these buildings to date, the charm of the original architecture and design, and it’s preservation, is part of what makes Ambler such a desirable place to live and visit.
