Upper Dublin High School’s Elizabeth Zheng named Coca-Cola Scholar

The Upper Dublin School District recently announced that senior Elizabeth Zheng has been named a 2022 Coca-Cola Scholar. Zheng is one of only 150 high school seniors who were chosen from an initial pool of over 68,000 students from across the country. She will receive a $20,000 college scholarship for her exemplification of leadership, service, and academics. She and the other national recipients will be celebrated during an April 21st virtual ceremony, and she will participate in the Leadership Development Institute this summer.

“There was nothing quite like that initial excitement when I got the news. Not only has the scholarship given me flexibility in choosing my future college, but the opportunities, network, and support I have been provided are incredible,” shared Zheng. “Previous scholars have already reached out to me, giving me insight on future career goals and plans. I am truly honored and awed to be surrounded by such inspirational activists, scientists, creators, artists, leaders, and pioneers.”

Upper Dublin High School Principal stated, “What an amazing accomplishment! Elizabeth’s recognition for this award makes her among the very best of the best nationwide. She has represented her family and our community with grace and excellence, and we are proud to see her honored on this remarkable achievement.”

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. The
Foundation has provided over 6,450 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $75 million in educational support. Each year 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected to receive this $20,000 scholarship.
