It's my pleasure to announce that I'm continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of South Carolina where I'll join Coach Frye, Coach Dee and the entire Gamecock family. I'm grateful to God, my parents, family, AOC family, Mt. Airy COGIC family, friends, event coaches (Wooten, Williams), and everyone who encouraged, helped, and supported me along this part of my journey. A special thank you to my parents for the many, many sacrifices over the years. Finally, to my Dad and Head Coach, thanks for pushing me further and higher. Milesplit.com ranked Price-Whitehead as the 11th best track and field recruit in the nation. From MileSplit.com:

The Upper Dublin (PA) senior is arguably the top long jump athlete in the country for the 2021 season, and among the best two-way horizontal jump athletes in the United States — Johnny Brackins and Floyd Witaker are also highly coveted prospects.

Price-Whitehead hit a US No. 1 mark of 25-feet for the long jump indoors in February, along with two other marks over 24 feet across the season. He also captured two marks over 47-feet for the triple jump for good measure.

Price-Whitehead also considered the University of North Carolina, the University of Arizona, the University of Oklahoma, Baylor University, and Cornell University.
