Upper Dublin police report uptick in thefts from cars, suspects armed

The Upper Dublin Police Department announced that multiple thefts from motor vehicles have occurred recently in the township and surrounding communities.

According to the department, the thefts are mainly taking place during the overnight hours, and video evidence suggests that the suspects were armed.

If you see suspicious activity, you are asked to call 911.

“Taking precautions can help to minimize the chance of becoming a victim of theft from your vehicle. Precautions include locking your vehicle when it is unattended, making sure to not leave valuable items inside your vehicle whether it is locked or not, parking in well-lit areas and installing and maintaining security lighting outside your home,” the department said in a post.
