Upper Dublin receives $100,000 Montgomery County to extend Cross County Trail

Montgomery County announced recently that it had awarded $2.75 million for 16 projects across the county as part of the 2026 cycle of the Montco 2040 Implementation Grants.

The grant program assists municipalities in making physical improvements that achieve the goals of the Montco 2040 comprehensive plan and its themes of connected communities, sustainable places, and vibrant economy.

Projects are evaluated for funding based on their impact, equity, county and local planning consistency, project readiness, and funding attributes by a committee consisting of Montgomery County Planning Commission Board Members and interdepartmental county staff. Projects are also given priority consideration when addressing one of three focus categories:

  • Transportation and Mobility Improvements
  • Support of Downtowns and Community Destinations
  • Adaptation and Resiliency
