Upper Dublin schools appoint Mrs. Julien Drennan as Assistant Superintendent of Schools

The Upper Dublin Board of School Directors announced today the selection of Mrs. Julien Drennan as Assistant Superintendent of Schools of the Upper Dublin School District.

From the district’s press release:

Mrs. Drennan brings to Upper Dublin 17 years of administrative educational experience, including curriculum and instruction; professional development; and school leadership at all levels. Mrs. Drennan has demonstrated strong school level and central office leadership through a student-centric approach that frames strategic thinking and positive outcomes. The Board voted on Mrs. Drennan’s appointment at its regularly scheduled Legislative Meeting on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Mrs. Drennan comes to Upper Dublin from the Lower Moreland School District, where she most recently served as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development. She has been committed to the Lower Moreland community for her entire career, beginning as a German Teacher and serving as Assistant Principal at both the elementary and middle schools before serving as the High School Principal and ultimately Director.

Mrs. Drennan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ursinus College, Master of Letters from Drew University, Educational Administration and Principal Certification from Gwynedd-Mercy University and Education and Administration Leadership Studies at California University of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Drennan is “excited to engage with principals, teachers, families, and the students themselves to meet the needs of all Upper Dublin students” and is committed to “honoring the past while moving the district forward so that all students are ready for a changing and dynamic world.”

School District Administration and the Board of School Directors engaged in an extensive interview process, interviewing numerous highly qualified candidates before selecting Mrs. Drennan. Mrs. Drennan’s strong instructional background and experiences will complement the district’s leadership team and strengthen the bridge between the Teaching & Learning and Student Services departments.

We are eagerly awaiting a start date for Mrs. Drennan and will develop a plan to ensure a successful and smooth transition to Upper Dublin. Upon her arrival, students, staff and community members alike will have opportunities to meet and get to know Mrs. Drennan. The District will share information about those opportunities as it becomes available through the District’s normal communication channels.
